Conceptualising Ideas. Part 3 of 5

Once concepts on strategy and techniques had been put in place, managers of all levels are shouldered with the tasks of disseminting the concepts to the intended receiver of the policy. The organization chart, be it based by functional department or by job position, should be referred to as a helping factor. The infrastructure of communicating informations wheather top-down or bottom-up should be succumbed to the relationship link the organization chart provides. Besides that, the prevalence of authority link the chart provides make the flow of information smoother and faster. The advent of telecommuncation revolution at the end of the 20th century had made information flow even faster and jobs become more productive.

In the book, tittled " THE WORLD IS FLAT", author Thomas L. Friedman had said that the world has gone from round to flat. Everywhere you turn hierarchies are being challenged from below or are transforming themselves from top-down structures into more horizontal and collaborative one.

Another factor i think that influence the smooth flow of information is the disability to speak the same language, so to speak. Due to co-existance of subordinates from various walks of life and cultures, not to mention diverse mother tongue languages, effective managers need to equip themselves with skills in speaking common languages that is free from multi-phonetic dialects. Clear and effective verbal and non-verbal communicative skills is an added skill to broad level managers so that any information flows from top policy makers can be channeled down to the lowest productive employees, and vise-versa.
