The ICDM is organizing an International summit for directors all around the world, in particular from asia pacific region.
The main topic is about trust.
The timing couldn't be better as trust is becoming a tool no one really safeguard nowadays.
Trust comes after transparency. Without it, trust will not exist and definitely will not ever support growth mission of any business enterprises.
Directors and leaders should cultivate the trust element among fellow directors and their management team. It should not stop there! The teaching and thereafter embracing trust as integral to good governance should go all the way down to the ground employees in the organization.
To be transparent we all need to embrace ethics in everything that we do. Ethics means integrity.
What good can being transparent bring to whole community if ethical behaviours were not present in human.
So, to cultivate the concept of trust in every fabric of society we live in, transparency is vital for ethical behaviour to flourish. Ideally, when ethics and being open and transparent become a norm among human, trust begin to develop.
Why give so much attention to trust?
The answer is simple. Trust is an essential element on which a business relationship is casted on. Without which, there aren't going to be any good corporate governance principals practised and when this happens a plethora of business wrongdoings might sprout and impose catastrophic severity risk, threatening the economy.
